#BBB NEWS| ‘Cosby’ Co-Star On Rape Allegations: “Of Course Bill Cosby Is Guilty!”

As more and more information comes to light, those once close to Bill Cosby are seeing signs of guilt. A former actor on The Cosby Show spoke to CNN about his views on the sexual assault allegations towards the comedian.

You may recognize Joseph C. Phillips as the man who played Lt. Martin Kendall, husband of Denise Huxtable (Lisa Bonet), father to Olivia Kendall (Raven-Symoné), and son-in-law to Cosby’s character.

Phillips told CNN that he would not have suspected any validity in the allegations judging by his encounters with Cosby. On his website, Phillips wrote an extensive essay on the mounting allegations against Cosby titled, “Of Course Bill Cosby Is Guilty!”

As the accusations began to increase, I became increasingly disturbed.  I was fairly certain that some of the women were lying through their teeth, but certainly not all of them.  Discovering that the man you idolize may be a serial rapist is a bit traumatic. I don’t imagine it is anything near to the trauma of the alleged victims. Nevertheless, I found it unsettling.

During his sit-down, Phillips said, “I think like a lot of people, I was really giving Bill the benefit of the doubt. This was not the man that I knew. This was not the man that I worked with. He may have had other faults, but he certainly was not drugging people raping them.”

According to Phillips, a friend came forward to him her experience with the comedian, and he has supported victims’ allegations ever since. Costars like his on-air daughter, Raven-Symoné, have not followed.
