#BBB NEWS| Michelle Obama Taps Kelly Rowland, Zendaya, Janelle Monae & Missy Elliott For “This Is For My Girls” [PHOTO/AUDIO]

Just in time for Women’s History Month, First Lady Michelle Obama has tapped Kelly Rowland, Missy Elliott, Zendaya, and Janelle Monae for “This Is For My Girls,” an anthem celebrating the strength and resilience of ladies across the globe.

The song, which will premiere on iTunes at midnight (Mar. 16), sees the superstars join forces with heavyweights Kelly Clarkson and Lea Michele and newcomers Chloe & Halle and Jadagrace in support of the First Lady’s Let Girls Learn movement and its #62MillionGirls initiative, a campaign purposed with helping the millions of preteen girls who are “denied the right to education” get in and stay in school.

Zendaya opens up the mid-tempo track before Kelly Rowland comes in on the chorus and encourages women to “Stand up, hold your head up, don’t take nothing from nobody.” Before the song comes to a close, Missy Elliott, who released her latest single “Pep Rally” last month, drops a hot 16 about ambitious, “next level” women everywhere.

“This Is For My Girls” is just the first in Missy and Michelle Obama’s joint endeavors. The two will be at SXSW in Texas on Wednesday (March 16), where the First Lady will deliver a keynote address that will feature the legendary rapper/actress Queen Latifah.
