#BBB NEWS| And Another One: Adele’s ’25’ Reaches Five Million Copies Sold In The U.S.

Adele’s 25 hasn’t hit streaming outlets yet, but that hasn’t stopped fans from going back in time to purchase hard copies from their local CD stores. And fans are so dedicated to Adele’s craft, the British singer has hit an all-time high, selling over five million copies in the U.S. alone.

To only solidify Adele’s impact on the music culture, the “Hello” singer is topping her own record, which she maintained in 2011 for her album, 21 which was the first album to sell five miillion copies in a calendar year.

This news also follows her records broke for album sales around the world including Australia and the U.K.

As if five million copies sold wasn’t enough, projections say that 25 is not slowing down anytime soon. Making 510,000 in copies sold within its first week, it is projected that the album will end its third week with another 650,000 under its belt.

Whatever the future numbers Adele is set to make, she’s definitely joining a list of successful artists who have also reached five million, including 50 Cent and Mariah Carey. Congrats Adele!
