The announcement was made on the reality starlet’s official website, with a post entitled “Kanye And I Welcome Our Baby Boy!” The brief announcement did not divulge details about the delivery, but did reassure fans that Kardashian and their family’s newest addition are doing well.
“Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West welcomed the arrival of their son this morning. Mother and son are doing well,” the post read.
This is the second early baby arrival for the Wests. Their two-year-old daughter North West also made her entrance ahead of her due date. Kardashian reportedly experienced health complications for the second time around as well; she moved up her delivery date after a scare with gestational diabetes, according to Us Weekly.
Earlier this week, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star shared that her son was in a breech position, and doctors had to perform a procedure to manually turn him around.
“This weekend, I checked into the hospital and underwent a procedure called an ECV (External Cephalic Version, or a Version), which is done to manually turn the baby from a breech position to a head-down position. They gave me an IV with medication to relax my uterus, and then three doctors attempted to work together to turn the baby,” she wrote.
Though fearful that the procedure could lead to an early birth by breaking her water and forcing an emergency C-section, the baby was turn without incident, and made his debut days later.
