#BBB NEWS| iTunes Names Adele’s ’25’ Best-Selling Album Of 2015

With Adele’s junior album, 25, reaching triple platinum status over the course of two weeks, it’s no surprise that this next bit of news adds to the project’s success.

Mashable reports that iTunes has deemed the “Hello” singer’s critically-acclaimed soundscape as the top-selling album of 2015. Other projects that round out the top five include Drake’s historic If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, Taylor Swift’s bubbly 1989, the soundtrack from Fifty Shades of Grey, and Justin Bieber’s latest effort Purpose.

25 is also slated to sell 5 million copies, which was released on Nov. 20. In an interview with the Today show, the UK native revealed that she had massive writer’s block when it came to penning her album. “I found it impossible for a while, and I didn’t know what I wanted to write about,” she said. “To be honest, I wasn’t sad. I was overthinking everything, and when I chilled out, it came.”

Eleven melodies later, and Adele has managed to touch listeners’ hearts with her gripping songwriting and emotion.

Let’s see what other records 25 will break before 2015 is over.
