While addressing reporters during a daily briefing Earnest slammed Trump saying, “What he said is disqualifying,” adding, “And any Republican who’s too fearful of the Republican base to admit it has no business serving as president either.”

Earnest referred to the Trump campaign was a “whole carnival barker routine,” and harshly criticized Trump’s plan as “entirely inconsistent with the values enshrined in our Constitution.”
He said, “The question now is about the rest of the Republican Party, and whether or not they’re going to be dragged into the dustbin of history with him,” continuing, “Right now the current trajectory is not very good.”
